Effective planning entails working with the calendar, not against it. Through long-range (12-18mo) strategic design, we can find natural boundaries and barriers through which to pause, launch, or breakthrough by capitalizing on “ripe” moments. Admittedly, this feels daunting; but the process is much less painful than we might anticipate. Furthermore, with practice (and a decent guide, such as the one below), the planning becomes second nature.
