Famed media theorist Marshall McLuhan hypothesized that with each new innovation in media there would be four accompany affects. In ministry, this is a helpful matrix for predicting and preparing innovations in liturgy, programming, missiology, and vision.

This curriculum will help you understand the matrix and evaluate the pros/cons of innovations; employ the matrix to predict likely effects of proposed innovations; and hypothesize likely solutions to a particular N.P.O (need-problem-opportunity).
