This download is a single-page lesson plan.

Understanding the fullness of “salvation” in scripture.

Description

The Greek word “Soteria”, which we often transalte as “salvation”, refers to health, wellbeing, and the overall flourishing of each person. It is closely linked to the Aristotelian concept of eudemonia, commonly translated as ‘human flourishing.’ God is concerned with our health, our hearts, our friendships, our homes, our jobs, our hobbies. This curriculum is designed to explore the differences between our common reduction of salvation and the full range of the biblical material; and help us reflect on our personal lives, ministries, churches, and families in order to discover new opportunities for growth, hope, and comfort.
