What’s Next for a Church like Ours?: Moving Past Malaise

Inevitably, there will be times when we feel as though we have launched all our rockets and solved all our problems; as though our missional strategies are (mostly) effective; as though we’re (basically) the church we want to be…but it doesn’t feel as good as we’d hoped. This ministerial malaise is deadly, discouraging, and ultimately damning. Though we know we’re meant to fulfill our unique space within the Great Commission, it is time to take a critical look at how we’re doing and what we probably should be doing and make difficult, voluntary, change to enhance our service to the world. This curriculum will help provide a fresh matrix for evaluating our ministry; evaluate our ministries, with an eye for opportunities and threats; create action plans for what we’ll change, abandon, seize, and secure; and cultivate a deeper commitment to excellence and effectiveness.
