Leading Through a Storm: How to Perform When You’re Not at Your Best

We’re not always at our best, and yet our frailty is no excuse for us to sidestep our responsibilities, particularly if we are paid. Consequently, we often find ourselves leading worship when we would rather be anywhere other than on stage or even at church. During these times we are desperate for reprieve yet required to persist. It is during these times that we understand the ‘sacrifice of praise.’ This curriculum will help you accept that there are times we do not feel capable, qualified, or eager to lead worship (or preach, or be in charge, etc); develop a theological framework for leading when we don’t feel up to it; and employ the scriptures in order to bolster our spirits and faithfully execute our responsibilities.
