Description
An “artifact” is a big-scale idea through which your entire Church will engage a series, vision, or concept.
This works best if the artifact is a “thing” (i.e. something they can touch, hold, and physically share) that reinforces the application of your work to assist your people as they integrate the concepts of faith into ordinary, everyday life. Consider evaluating the artifact’s merit using the Kingdom Quotient (see curriculum). The best artifacts are interactive (you do something with it), experiential (in a particular space with other people), customizable (making it your own), evolutionary (and adding to it week-after-week) that enhance the meaning of the offering.
This curriculum will help you learn the basics of creating a meaningful artifacts to coincide with your sermon series, outreach event, or special project; explore the various kinds of artifacts, evaluating their use and application for different contexts; and dream up innovative, participatory new artifacts that help people grow spiritually, socially, and ethically.
