Evaluating Church Activities & Outcomes: Strategizing For Church Health, Growth, and Results

It’s possible for our churches to be filled with activities that fail to produce the desired results. For example, a church may struggle to understand why they’re not growing numerically despite the events they have successfully executed; however, such a church assumes those events are capable of attracting new people, when in fact those events may only appeal to existing congregants. To thrive, leaders must strategize a rhythm that balances inwardly focused activities (designed for the edification of the church) and outwardly-focused activities (designed to attract and engage those outside the church). Likewise, leaders must acknowledge that some activities are focused on the individual and some are focused
on the community.
